ING Increases Reach of Broker Education Using Brainshark
ING's 401K Learn & Earn program provides their broker channel with on demand education and certification. The company uses technology solutions from Brainshark to create presentations from 401k experts, deliver them through email and broker extranets, and track usage. This helps ING meet the challenge of delivering practice-building 401(k) education and that each broker and advisor can view at their convenience.
July 22, 2004 -- ING, one of the nation's leading providers of retirement plans, is using solutions from Brainshark, Inc. to provide brokers with practice-building education about 401(k) topics. ING's "401(k) Learn and Earn Series" is an interactive, web based training program for brokers and advisors that are interested in selling 401(k) products or increasing their 401(k) business.
The Learn and Earn program comprises 4 training modules that are approximately 15 minutes in length per module. ING uses the Brainshark Communications Platform to create, deliver, and track usage of the learning modules; which are voice-enriched, educational presentations with links to supporting materials and certification quizzes.
ING is able to deliver the modules to brokers via email, and has also made the content available within the ING Virtual Financial Center, a resource extranet for brokers.
"With the educational modules that weve created and delivered using Brainshark, were able to significantly expand our reach, helping more brokers gain an awareness of the opportunities in this market and to build their 401(k) practice," said Lou Bachetti, ING's head of sales for the corporate, health, and government markets. "Our salespeople are then able to provide higher-level assistance and expertise because this base level of education has already been established."
The 4-part series includes the following topics:
Module 1: "If you're not selling 401(k) plans, you're leaving money on the table..."
Module 2: "Everything you always wanted to know about 401(k)but were afraid to ask."
Module 3: "How to prospect and sell in the 401(k) Market."
Module 4: "Why ING?"
The modules are available on demand, 24x7. Using Brainshark's tracking and reporting capabilities, ING knows who has viewed each module and how much of it they have viewed. Brokers and Advisors completing all 4 modules and the associated quizzes receive a certificate of completion.
"ING joins a growing list of financial services organizations that are looking to on-demand web communications to meet the enormous challenge of educating channel partners," said Joe Gustafson, CEO of Brainshark. "Brainshark enables companies like ING to quickly deploy consistent education to strengthen channel relationships and increase sales productivity."
